About the position

The Operator I position at ExxonMobil involves conducting field and plant production operations in the Delhi, LA area. This role is essential for ensuring safe and efficient operations while meeting the company's performance objectives. The Operator I will work a 7&7 schedule, focusing on daily activities, well-checking, reporting, and supporting the overall operational goals of the region.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field and plant production operations safely and cost-effectively.
  • Perform day-to-day activities in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure well-checking and reporting activities are completed.
  • Report issues and opportunities to support regional targets and goals.
  • Work within a team to meet performance objectives.
  • Assist the Production Foreman with monthly budgeting and cost reduction recommendations.
  • Learn and implement new operational standards as they are introduced.
  • Support LOE optimization efforts across the Delhi Field.
  • Act as an in-field lead on small projects to maintain production.
  • Accountable for achieving Company HSE goals in assigned areas.
  • Promote safe and cost-efficient operations in alignment with company standards.
  • Complete required training for optimal performance.
  • Utilize operator and production reporting procedures effectively.
  • Manage well locations, Right-of-Ways, and facilities responsibly.
  • Support work activities of all crafts involved.
  • Utilize the MOC system for necessary changes.
  • Manage responsibilities using SAP's PM and CM work order processes.
  • Participate in incident and operational upset investigations.
  • Implement controls for critical intervention activities to minimize risks.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with maintenance planning, plant reliability, and turnaround activities.
  • Develop and demonstrate leadership and competency in operations.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of direct experience with oil and gas production practices, equipment, and terminology.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Cygnet, EVIN, SAP, OneNote, or similar systems.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes or adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work a 7x7, 12-hour work schedule with call out.
  • Ability to climb heights up to 24' on stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot normal production issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working in various settings including district office, field offices, and oil and gas production facilities.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, walk, climb, and carry instruments weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to wear various personal protective equipment.
  • Willingness to travel by land, water, and air.
