About the position

The Operator II - 2nd Shift position is responsible for the production of high-quality cardiovascular medical devices within a manufacturing cell. This role involves detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery according to documented procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position may require working in a controlled cleanroom environment and involves the use of specialized tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles medical devices and related components.
  • Operates various equipment and machinery per documented procedures.
  • Cleans tools and equipment according to documented procedures.
  • Disposes of hazardous waste material in designated areas.
  • Performs visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
  • Conducts tests on units using computerized test equipment.
  • Repairs and corrects devices/components using microscopes and applicable tools.
  • Packages devices ensuring all parts are accurate and documentation is complete.
  • Maintains accurate records for traceability and quality assurance.
  • Follows safety guidelines and utilizes appropriate safety devices and equipment.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Notifies supervisor of the need to replenish supplies and any production difficulties.
  • Cooperates in maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow English written procedures at a 6th grade level.
  • Good basic math skills at a 6th grade level.
  • Effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Understanding of electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
  • Good dexterity to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on sequencing and importance.
  • Ability to make critical decisions with minimal supervision.
