About The Position

The Operator Level I position is a critical role within the manufacturing team at Danfoss, focused on operating production equipment to manufacture hydraulic hoses. This position is part of the 2nd shift team in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and reports directly to the shift Manufacturing Supervisor. The role involves various tasks related to the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year or more of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of effective housekeeping, 5S, and TPM practices.

Responsibilities

  • Operates the stencil machine to apply model and lot numbers on hoses and inspects for defects.
  • Ejects mandrel from the hose using water pressure and proof tests hoses to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Cuts hoses at the appropriate place on the reel and coils them for shipping preparation.
  • Prepares rubber and/or grilon mandrel for the extrusion process.
  • Prepares customer-supplied wire on bobbins for use in the braid process.
  • Wraps and unwraps the extruded hose in preparation for the curing process.
