About the position

The Operator Manufacturing position at Kennametal involves the production of quality products while adhering to budgeted production costs. The role requires operating various manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, to fabricate parts from raw materials. The operator will be responsible for setting up equipment, measuring raw materials, and resolving production-related issues, all while working within established procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet marketplace demand.
• Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature.
• Follows established procedures for operating various conventional and/or CNC manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping.
• Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
• Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 1 year of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Limited prior relevant training or work experience.
