About the position

The Pipeline Operator position at Enterprise Products Partners L.P. involves working in a rotating shift environment, focusing on the operations and maintenance of pipeline systems. The role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, and other products, while adhering to environmental regulations and company standards. The operator will engage in various tasks including terminal operations, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform terminal and station operations by coordinating with Pipeline Control and other affiliates to ensure timely, safe, and quality controlled handling of products.
  • Conduct tank gauging, manifold line up, and develop paperwork related to inventories and quality control.
  • Operate process-related equipment and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Conduct product quality sampling and testing, including basic product accounting and measurement.
  • Review procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulatory agency requirements.
  • Maintain facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
  • Attend all safety meetings and complete required safety training courses.
  • Participate in cross-training to develop skills in areas specific to other operators and technicians.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • Technical certification or equivalent training/pipeline experience is desired.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years stable work history, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Strong commitment to personal and job safety is essential.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and possess basic computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing applications.
  • Good verbal/written communication skills, decision-making skills, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain and promote good working relationships within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful and/or hazardous conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime and handle callouts, and must live or relocate within 1 hour response time of job assignment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the energy industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and company policy concerning handling and disposal of hazardous substances.
