The Operator, Production at Mitsubishi Chemical ALPOLIC plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, specifically within the Coil Coating Line. This position is essential for ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently, adhering to the quality standards set by the company. The operator is responsible for facilitating the completion of work plans as created by the Scheduler, Plant Manager, or department supervisors. This includes monitoring and operating processes, ensuring that the correct materials are used, and maintaining quality standards through continuous sampling and testing of both the product and the process. The operator must also document the use of materials and the time required for production, which is vital for maintaining accurate records and ensuring accountability in the manufacturing process. In addition to these responsibilities, the operator must monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment, keeping the work area clean and adhering to safety and environmental rules. This role requires the operator to observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure that machinery is functioning properly. The operator is also expected to replenish inventory as needed and support supervisors and team members in training and cross-training efforts. The position requires the use of an air purifying respirator, and the operator must maintain a Forklift license as issued by Mitsubishi. Overall, this role is integral to the success of the production team and the company as a whole, as it directly impacts the quality of the products produced and the efficiency of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year prior experience in heavy industrial setting
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing process is a plus
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Legible handwriting for document completion
  • Basic math skills
  • Effective use of the metric system
