About the position

The Operator Relief position at ACH Food Companies, Inc. is designed to provide coverage for absent team members and manage break schedules within the SYRUP Department at the ARGO Plant. This role requires flexibility to perform various tasks across the production lines, including stepping in for Line Operators. The position is primarily for off shifts, with potential weekend work, and offers a structured pay increase based on years of service.

Responsibilities

• Relieve absent or missing team members and cover all breaks as instructed by Supervisor.
• Perform all duties of each team member for effective relief job performance.
• Assist in conducting quality control checks.
• Maintain proper inventories of glue, caps, labels and TE bands for line operations.
• Supply labels on Canadian and pint syrup lines to Operators.
• Keep immediate area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent education (i.e. GED).
• One (1) year of manufacturing experience preferably in a food manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to push, pull, lift; up to 50 pounds, on a routine basis.
• Ability to follow written and oral communications.
• Ability to act independently within the scope of the responsibilities.
