About the position

The Operator-Room Service position is a full-time role responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of room service and cashiering functions within the Carolina Dining Room. This includes driving a company vehicle, managing order accuracy, and maintaining a clean work environment while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle and ensure compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Receive and check orders for accuracy prior to delivery from Room Service.
• Assist servers in setting and checking orders.
• Manage day-to-day operations of InfoGenesis in Room Service and Cashier station.
• Ensure all tickets are signed and submitted before the end of the shift.
• Ring in guest checks, receive payments, and close the system with appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain a clean work station and manage supplies.
• Train new hires on InfoGenesis procedures.
• Review outlet Settlement Reports following Night Audit procedures and report variances to management.
• Ensure accurate posting of group tickets and coupons as specified in BEOs and CSMs.
• Process tickets and return them to servers at the Cashier's Desk.
• Organize and account for all cash receipts and charges, breaking them down into categories for tracking purposes.
• Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled and be available to work in various locations as needed.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to follow safe and defensive driving practices.
• Strong attention to detail for order accuracy and cash handling.
• Ability to train new hires on operational procedures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with InfoGenesis or similar point-of-sale systems.
• Previous experience in a food and beverage service role.
