About the position

As an Operator Construction Aerial at Lambert's Cable Splicing, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground construction or utilities. The role emphasizes safety and effectiveness in all operations, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate drill equipment on job sites, including Directional Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tractor Trailer, and Vacuum Truck/Trailer.
• Restore and landscape disturbed areas of the job site.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Responsible for site set-up and clean-up.
• Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment on trucks.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) prior to starting construction.
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and safety barriers, and flag traffic when necessary.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement.
• Acceptable MVR record as deemed by the company.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call.
• Experience with drilling equipment and understanding their capabilities and limitations.
• Proficient use of locators to safely identify utilities.
• Experience with drill set up and design processes is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders, machinery, and other objects.
• Previous construction or utility construction experience is preferred.
