About the position

The Operator-Warehousing position at Elanco involves managing materials within the warehouse operation, including receiving, sampling, moving, and preparing materials for use. The role emphasizes safety, inventory management, and continuous improvement, ensuring that materials are accurately tracked and available for production needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform work safely and maintain a clean work environment.
• Receive, sample, label, and load/unload materials from various vehicles.
• Move materials using vehicles such as fork trucks and semi-trailers.
• Manage paperwork and electronic documentation for materials management.
• Perform cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Ensure material bins have adequate inventory for production requirements.
• Assist in investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
• Identify and improve hazards to enhance safe working conditions.
• Assist in improving business practices in warehouse and inventory management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and good documentation skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and effective communication skills.
• Teamwork and interpersonal interaction skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience in a GMP environment.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Experience operating fork trucks.
• Experience moving box/tank trailers or possess a CDL license.
• Experience moving railcars.
