About the position

The Craft - Operator, Electrical is responsible for safely and efficiently performing Civil/Electrical duties at the project site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures while operating various types of heavy and light equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate light/heavy equipment including backhoe, loader, roller, rock truck, blade, excavator, dozer, and forklift for crane erection.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing loads, perform pre-inspection checks, and monitor equipment during operation.
  • Report results from pre-inspections on equipment daily, including hours usage, fuel usage, and maintenance required.
  • Maintain job site and materials in an organized and efficient order.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mobile and stationary equipment, including cleaning and minor repairs.
  • Notify supervisor for refueling and management of any equipment malfunctions.
  • Climb into heavy equipment using attached ladders and clean the interior cab area daily.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as stated by OSHA.
  • Ensure safety is prioritized and follow safe practices while working.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • CCO certification for crane operators required.
  • CDL certification for A/T cranes required.
  • Level I: 0-2 years' experience with backhoe, loader, roller, and rock truck required.
  • Level II: 0-3 years' experience with blade, excavator, and dozer in addition to Level I equipment required.
  • Level III: 1-3 years' experience with trencher and up to 130 ton crane/crawler R/T and less than 250 ton crane/crawler or A/T in addition to Levels I and II equipment required.
  • Level IV: 4+ years' experience with 250 ton crane/crawler or A/T in addition to Levels I, II, and III equipment required.
  • Ability to travel domestically 76-100% required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fundamental knowledge of blueprints.
  • Intermediate knowledge in safety training, following rules and regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
