About the position

The Ophthalmology Call Center/Sales Representative at Coastal Vision Medical Group is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced call center environment. This role involves answering inbound calls from patients, converting leads into consultations, and maintaining customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. The representative will also manage database records and act as a liaison between patients and the medical team.

Responsibilities

  • Answers inbound telephone calls from current and prospective patients in a polite and professional manner and exceeds customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for conversion rates on all leads and strives to raise conversion rates from call to consultation/evaluation.
  • Places outbound prospective patient telephone calls.
  • Researches and resolves issues to ensure patient retention and satisfaction.
  • Takes and processes transactions by telephone, internet, and correspondence from customers and representatives.
  • Enters and maintains database records of customer profiles and prepares and maintains status reports.
  • Acts as a liaison for customers.
  • Maintains knowledge of company products and customer service processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of post-secondary education with 2 to 4 years relevant work experience in a sales/medical office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Ability to multi-task comfortably and work with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Proficient with standard office equipment, including personal computers and Windows-based software (including word processing, PowerPoint, databases, and spreadsheets).
  • Minimum average typing speed of 40 WPM.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems.
  • Knowledge of NEXTECH Software.
  • Sales experience preferred.
