About the position

Valley Health Eye Specialists in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cataract and Anterior Segment Surgeon to join their outstanding practice. This opportunity is ideal for an ophthalmologist who is passionate about providing high-quality, outcome-driven eye surgery. The current cataract surgeon operates six days per month, indicating a high volume of surgical cases available for the new hire. While fellowship training is desired, it is not a strict requirement, making this position accessible to new graduates as well as experienced professionals. The practice is characterized by a compassionate and cohesive group of experienced, board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologists. The team specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, standard and premium cataract surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, and adult strabismus, with additional interests in glaucoma, plastics, and neuro-ophthalmology. Although training and experience in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) would be beneficial, it is not mandatory. The practice collaborates closely with retina specialists within the hospital community, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities

  • Perform cataract and anterior segment surgeries at a high volume.

Requirements

  • Board certification in ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship training in cataract or anterior segment surgery preferred but not required.
