About the position

The Ophthalmology Sales Representative at Inizio Engage is responsible for building strategic account plans and understanding customer needs to drive sales for key targets. This role requires a deep understanding of the marketplace, therapeutic areas, and product knowledge, as well as the ability to foster strong relationships with healthcare professionals. The position offers an opportunity to represent a leading biopharmaceutical company and contribute to improving patient outcomes through effective engagement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product, and disease expertise based on scientific principles and data.
  • Understand and apply knowledge of the healthcare industry, trends, laws, regulations, and market conditions to develop business plans.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians and healthcare provider staff.
  • Foster team effectiveness and accomplishment of shared goals by providing knowledge and information.
  • Ask strategic, insightful questions to understand customer needs and position promoted brands accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of Pharma sales experience.
  • Specialty Sales experience highly preferred.
  • Ophthalmology experience preferred.
  • Documented history of sales success.
  • Team-based selling or collaborative selling experience.
  • Ability to travel overnight if required.
