About the position

The Opioid Settlement Dashboard Community Outreach Coordinator is a remote/home-based project position funded through June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. This role is crucial in supporting data modernization initiatives aimed at addressing the opioid crisis in Washington State. As the Community Outreach Coordinator, you will leverage enterprise data assets to create automated visualizations for dashboards that align with the State Opioid and Overdose Response Plan (SOORP) priorities. Reporting to the Dashboard Management Analyst, you will coordinate community outreach and collaborate with both internal and external partners, as well as impacted communities, to ensure the success of these initiatives. In this position, you will engage directly with communities to provide outreach and support for the settlement dashboard project. Your responsibilities will include employing various strategies to engage and be accountable to communities and partners, setting up one-on-one meetings, attending community meetings, and organizing listening sessions and feedback elicitation meetings. You will also implement surveys, conduct focus groups, and identify organizations and coalitions impacted by the opioid epidemic. Your role will involve collaborating with PCH/Behavioral Health partners, leading the identification and prioritization of user stories, and maintaining relationships with project partners. You will analyze and report feedback from project partners, collect qualitative and quantitative information to inform dashboard evaluation, and work closely with community partners to address barriers to accessing dashboard products. Additionally, you will collaborate with the internal project team to develop and implement communication plans that are culturally and linguistically appropriate for diverse communities. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct community outreach and engagement for the settlement dashboard project
  • Employ multiple strategies to reach, engage, and be accountable to communities and partners
  • Set up one-on-one meetings and attend community meetings
  • Organize listening sessions, feedback elicitation meetings, and user testing opportunities
  • Implement surveys, conduct focus groups, and other engagement activities
  • Identify organizations, agencies, coalitions, and community-based groups impacted by the opioid epidemic
  • Collaborate with PCH/Behavioral Health partners and provide logistical support
  • Lead in the identification, prioritization, and selection of user stories and information needs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with project partners, acting as a point person
  • Triage questions and feedback from project partners
  • Analyze and report feedback to project partners
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative information to inform dashboard evaluation
  • Work closely with community partners to understand and address barriers to accessing dashboard products
  • Collaborate with internal project team and PCH partners to develop and implement communication plans
  • Ensure communications are culturally and linguistically appropriate for diverse communities

Requirements

  • An equivalent combination of formal education, professional experience, and lived experience to total four (4) years
  • Three (3) years of experience with community outreach, engagement, organizing, or similar work with diverse communities
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, public administration, community organizing, or a closely related field AND one (1) year of experience with community outreach, engagement, organizing or similar work with diverse communities
