About the position

The Opioid Settlement Data Liaison (Research Analyst 3) position at the Oregon Health Authority focuses on supporting the Opioid Settlement Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Board. The role involves collaborating with various analytical and program staff to design and develop data visualizations and communication strategies that promote health equity and address disparities in behavioral health care. The position emphasizes culturally sensitive communication and aims to facilitate awareness and action regarding opioid and substance use issues in affected communities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Opioid Settlement Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Board and its initiatives.
  • Collaborate with analytical, epidemiological, and program staff to scope, design, and develop data visualizations.
  • Liaise between data stewards and users to identify data-related communication needs.
  • Ensure the development of culturally sensitive and accessible data visualization products.
  • Disseminate qualitative and quantitative data on injury and violence to partners through presentations and reports.
  • Promote non-stigmatizing communication about harm reduction and substance use data.

Requirements

  • Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare reports.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and one year of relevant experience.
