About the position

The Tech Fundamentals program is a free training initiative designed to provide young adults and military veterans or their spouses with essential skills in technology. The program offers virtual instruction, industry-recognized certifications, and opportunities for internships or project-based learning experiences, aiming to prepare participants for careers in the IT field.

Responsibilities

• Participate in up to 20 weeks of instructor-led virtual training.
• Engage in a paid internship or project-based learning experience.
• Earn industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Google IT Support Certificate.
• Receive mentoring from senior-level IT professionals.
• Attend employment readiness workshops.
• Access job placement assistance with top employers.

Requirements

• Must be a young adult (18-26 years of age) or a military veteran/spouse.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• If a military veteran or spouse, must be over 21 years of age and either transitioning active-duty servicemember, honorably discharged, or a member of the Guard or Reserves.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, and other leading technologies.
