The Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in our operations by communicating daily transportation activities to ensure that service and delivery goals are met on time. This position involves various aspects of dispatch, including fielding incoming calls from employees and customers, routing drivers, and resolving account/customer issues. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for relaying important information to drivers, managing customer inquiries, and supporting drivers during emergencies. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to make decisions under pressure. In this position, you will be expected to handle customer call-ins, provide updates on expected delivery/service times, and make outgoing calls to address issues such as locked gates or missed services. You will also work closely with the customer service department to schedule deliveries and services, review driver manifests, and ensure that all information is accurate and complete. Keeping the Operations Manager informed about issues and their resolutions is also a key responsibility of this role.
