About the position

As an OPS Data Base Analyst for the State of Florida, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Health by utilizing various data management tools and methodologies. Your primary responsibilities will include researching and gathering HR data from systems such as People First and the People First data Warehouse, as well as using Cherwell Customer Service Management for project assignments. You will be tasked with creating data visualizations using Qlik or Tableau, which will involve cleaning and formatting data sets to ensure they are suitable for analysis and presentation. This role requires you to contribute effectively to project teams, ensuring that all deliverables are completed on time and meet the high standards expected by stakeholders. In addition to data visualization, you will assist in the development and maintenance of SharePoint pages, which will involve mapping and documenting processes, coordinating process improvement efforts, and maintaining comprehensive records of data sources, assumptions, and methodologies used in your analytical tasks. You will also be expected to produce various reports and documents using standard productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, showcasing your ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. This position is temporary and offers a salary range of $33,760 to $35,000, with the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, accountability, and excellence. Responsibilities

  • Research and gather HR data from People First, People First data Warehouse, and Cherwell Customer Service Management.
  • Create data visualizations in Qlik or Tableau using multiple data sources.
  • Clean and format data sets for use in visualizations, spreadsheets, programming, model building, and statistics.
  • Contribute to projects and assignments as part of project teams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of SharePoint pages.
  • Map and document processes, coordinate process improvement efforts, and maintain records of data sources and methodologies.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint to produce reports and documents.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to simplify and enhance user experience in data visualizations and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of SQL database management technologies.
  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, documenting, and implementing databases.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using Qlik, Tableau, or Business Objects.
  • Experience in data analysis, collection, and storage.
