About the position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Ops Research Analyst / Flight Test Engineer to join our growing team in Las Vegas, NV. This position is integral to supporting flight test and data analysis of electronic countermeasures and aircraft survivability equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing test plans, procedures, test cards, data management plans, incident reports, and final reports. They will design tests using statistical test and analysis techniques and design of experiments procedures, ensuring that all testing is conducted in a controlled and systematic manner. In addition to test design, the Ops Research Analyst / Flight Test Engineer will assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of flight tests, including control room duties. This role requires the organization of data from various sources, analysis of complex data sets, and resolution of data anomalies. The candidate will also be expected to provide graphical analysis and representations of large data sets, developing reports and briefings to outline the success or failure of a test article and generating recommendations for future development. Responsibilities

  • Support flight test and data analysis of electronic countermeasures and aircraft survivability equipment.
  • Write test plans, procedures, test cards, data management plans, incident reports, and final reports.
  • Design tests using statistical test and analysis techniques and design of experiments procedures.
  • Assist in the coordination, planning, and execution of flight tests, including control room duties.
  • Organize data from various sources, analyze complex data sets, and resolve data anomalies.

  • Exhibit a willingness to accept changing and evolving roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, data analytics, operations research, statistics, physics, computer science, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related test experience or MS/PhD with relevant internship.
  • Working knowledge of Python, MatLab, or similar analytical tools.
  • Proven interest in aerospace systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Software database technologies.
  • Working knowledge of radar systems and general flight test principles.
  • Previous experience as aircrew member (pilot, electronic warfare officer, or navigator).
