About the position

Serco has a great opportunity for you to take a role as part of the Global Logistics Augmentation and Staff Support (GLASS) team in supporting the Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island, IL. In this position, you will join an integrated government-industry team that supports multiple program functions. Your specific tasks will include Operations and Plans, Desk Officer duties, Operations Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA), Training and Exercise, Automation/Database Management, and Cost Management Support Services. You will be responsible for providing a wide range of customer requirements in the Army supply systems and operations. Your expertise and collaborative skills will be essential in positively impacting our national defense and making a difference in the world's greatest Army. In this role, you will provide quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities using advanced methodological approaches and business process optimization across various areas, including Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leadership, Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) spectrum and beyond. You will effectively identify complex challenges and opportunities within Army Sustainment Command (ASC) systems and develop comprehensive solutions, incorporating these capability solutions into ASC's software and workflows. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain or transfer a Secret clearance, which is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities in advanced methodological approaches.
  • Conduct advanced business process optimization in various areas including Doctrine, Organization, Training, Leadership, Education, Personnel, Facilities, and Policy (DOTMLPF-P).
  • Identify complex challenges and opportunities within Army Sustainment Command (ASC) systems.
  • Develop comprehensive solutions and incorporate these capability solutions into ASC's software and workflows.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • 10 years of experience in advanced analysis/analytics using appropriate mixed methods to produce algorithms and/or business process recommendations that improve readiness and reduce costs.
  • Demonstrated formal education, training, and proven past performance experience in relevant areas.
  • Ability to maintain and transfer an active Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical experience in the scripting language R programming, including writing R programming language packages and web application development in Shiny.
  • Experience interacting with databases using Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience in time series analysis and forecasting, advanced multivariate regression, including Probit and Logit Models.
  • Experience in systems dynamics modelling, Bayesian inference procedures, and operational risk analysis.
  • Experience in multi-criteria decision analysis, qualitative comparative analysis, and causal mapping.
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Government Analytics, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Management Science, Operational Analysis, Operations Management, Statistics, Systems Management, or a related technical degree.
