About the position

The Research Assistant I position in the Martemyanov Lab involves conducting research in animal models of disease under supervision. The assistant will be expected to perform experiments involving animals, adhering to ethical guidelines and protocols. While working under general supervision, the individual will receive assistance for unusual problems and will be expected to apply sound professional judgment in their work. The role requires the ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports, including initial interpretations and analyses of results. The assistant will have limited ability to troubleshoot and modify procedures but will be encouraged to develop their skills in this area over time. Additionally, the position may involve assisting in the design of experiments that contribute to the broader research plan of the lab. This is a part-time, temporary position with an expectation of 32 hours per week, making it suitable for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements while gaining valuable research experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities
