About the position

Intern will work directly with Dr. Peggy Wright-Cleveland, Director of Faculty Development, to write text, create graphics, and sustain successful engagement in the social media outlets of the Office of Faculty Development and Advancement. The Social Media team creates posts that celebrate faculty accomplishments and engage faculty in conversations important to higher education. With more than ten years of experience, Dr. Wright-Cleveland will guide interns in developing media campaigns that promote the values of FSU and FSU faculty. You will work on a team of interns, experiencing all aspects of social media work: writing posts; designing posts; scheduling posts; designing campaigns; setting media interaction goals, and monitoring analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Dr. Peggy Wright-Cleveland to write text and create graphics.
• Sustain successful engagement in social media outlets.
• Create posts that celebrate faculty accomplishments.
• Engage faculty in conversations important to higher education.
• Develop media campaigns that promote the values of FSU and FSU faculty.
• Experience all aspects of social media work including writing, designing, scheduling posts, and monitoring analytics.

• Must be social media-savvy.
• Have a creative and analytical mindset.
• Able to work well with faculty, staff, students, and higher administration.
• Must have some social media, writing, or marketing experience.
• Willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $15.00.
