About the position

The Ops Specialist CA Reorg position at US Tech Solutions is designed for recent graduates, particularly those with a finance major. The Ops Specialist will be responsible for performing specialized operational securities processing activities that support the firm's business lines. Key responsibilities include notification announcement input, instruction receipt and authentication, instruction entry, processing and recording, reporting and acknowledgment, and reconciliation. The primary focus will be on daily deliverables and the execution of defined procedures and analyses, while also understanding the broader impact of their work on the firm. Work will be thoroughly reviewed and validated by more senior personnel. Specific tasks include scrubbing announcements from market data vendors, inputting information into the Corporate Action platform for income and mandatory actions, identifying complex events, and communicating these to team members. The role also involves processing class action suits, client instructions through manual entry, agent confirmations, and managing uninstructed positions through both written and verbal communication with clients. Additionally, the Ops Specialist will handle client account profile requests, manual entry of payments, and balancing and reconciling positions related to corporate action activity. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial for ensuring superior client service and timely resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized operational securities processing activities in support of the firm's business lines.
  • Input notification announcements and authenticate instructions received.
  • Enter instructions, process and record transactions, and manage reporting and acknowledgment.
  • Scrub announcements from market data vendors and input information into the Corporate Action platform.
  • Identify complex events and communicate them to team members.
  • Process class action suits and client instructions through manual entry into the Corporate Actions platform.
  • Handle agent confirmations for communication to clients.
  • Communicate uninstructed positions to clients both verbally and in writing.
  • Process client account profile requests for Corporate Actions.
  • Manually enter payments into the Corporate Actions platform.
  • Balance and reconcile positions related to corporate action activity.
  • Reconcile receivables and payables to ensure accurate client cash projections.
  • Participate in client presentations or calls and identify problem items.
  • Communicate professionally to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner.
