About the position
We're seeking an Optical Assistant to join our team in Granbury, Texas. The role involves fitting and dispensing eyeglasses, fabricating lenses in our lab, and assisting with front desk duties. While prior experience in the optical industry is a plus, it's not required—we're willing to train the right candidate. Pay is based on experience. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and assistance with their optical needs. You will work closely with the optometrist and other team members to ensure a smooth operation of the practice. Your role will also include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the optical area, managing inventory, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Key Skills and Abilities required for this position include proven experience in a customer-facing role, strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment, proactive problem-solving skills, and the capability to work collaboratively across different functions.
