About the position

The Optical Lab Pre Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in preparing eyeglass wear for patients and customers at Now Optics. This position involves overseeing the production process, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining effective communication with lab partners. The coordinator is responsible for managing workflow, diagnosing issues, and supporting the lab team to achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all work in bin staging and processes rejected work in defined production areas.
• Diagnoses breakage issues and recommends long-term solutions to the Lab Manager.
• Ensures all daily tasks are completed before the end of business.
• Maintains all work area equipment and performs day-to-day maintenance.
• Ensures all standards and requirements related to customer journey are met or exceeded.
• Reviews and responds to emails and inquiries within designated time frames.
• Monitors Order Journey and other reports to ensure on-time delivery performance is met.
• Communicates with Lab Partners to prevent order delays.
• Maintains proper workflow in designated areas and adapts to changing work demands.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a lab or optical lab environment required.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience or internal related experience.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
