About the position

The Optical Manager at Sam's Club is responsible for driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, compliance with company policies, and providing exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising and developing associates, managing inventory, and participating in community outreach programs. The Optical Manager also ensures the provision of quality eyewear and upholds the company's values and standards.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation and inventory management.
• Model and enforce customer service approaches to resolve customer needs and complaints.
• Oversee community outreach programs and encourage associates to engage with the community.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies for the Vision Center.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring and training.
• Consult with and educate customers on eyewear options and maintain optical equipment.
• Uphold the company's Open Door Policy by addressing associate concerns and issues.
• Coordinate job-related activities and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Optical experience
• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Completion of 2 or more years of college or equivalent work experience
