About the position

The Optical Sales Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team of optical staff to ensure a positive experience for patients and customers. This role involves supervising, coaching, and developing staff while driving sales and managing operational processes effectively. The manager is expected to engage with customers to meet their eyewear needs and achieve store goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
  • Drive sales and control expenses.
  • Achieve personal and store goals.
  • Execute effective operational and procedural processes.
  • Engage with patients and customers to fulfill prescriptive eyewear needs.

Requirements

  • Experienced Optician preferred.
  • Sales ability to connect with customers, uncover their needs, recommend items, and educate customers on their purchases.
  • Polished and professional communication and customer-centric service skills.
  • Experience with POS, computer and timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of working with and servicing diverse people.
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, and a creative problem solver open to feedback and learning.
  • Reliability and punctuality in attendance to keep store hours and coverage.
  • Flexibility for scheduling, able to work weekends, select holidays, and special sales events.
  • Ability to meet the physical needs of the job and multi-task in a busy work environment.
