About the position

The Store Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth while ensuring an outstanding patient experience. This role involves leading a team in a positive environment, focusing on patient care, and maintaining high levels of associate and doctor satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable store sales by fostering a patient-focused retail culture.
  • Attain planned sales goals and achieve comparable store sales growth.
  • Ensure positive year-on-year improvement in store contributions.
  • Manage payroll costs effectively according to company standards.
  • Oversee gross margin management in line with company standards.
  • Train and develop associates to consistently provide a patient care-focused experience.
  • Build a team of administratively skilled associates to support daily operational tasks.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with doctors.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage and quality of doctor hours.
  • Implement initiatives to increase the number of exams and conversion of exams to sales.
  • Participate in business planning and updates.
  • Accountable for recruitment, training, development, and retention of high-performing associates.
  • Select brand-right associates demonstrating desired patient care behaviors.
  • Utilize effective daily practice and role-playing for associate onboarding.
  • Facilitate employee satisfaction through two-way communication.
  • Plan proactively for adequate manpower and bench strength.
  • Ensure positive patient satisfaction through retention and survey responses.
  • Merchandise and present each store according to standards, including execution of planograms and visual appearance.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and professional presentation of associates according to company standards.
  • Ensure high-quality customer follow-up and accurate service delivery.
  • Maximize Managed Vision Care relationships and sales opportunities.
  • Implement approved marketing programs timely and execute signage and promotions according to company standards.
  • Execute operational procedures related to safety and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of sales growth through sales skills and accountability for results.
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop associates with a patient-focused and results-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding experiences during direct patient interactions.
  • Experience in recruiting and selecting associates and doctors.
  • Proven experience in a retail or customer service establishment with measurable results.
  • Ability to present and implement creative solutions to business growth opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills to meet and exceed patient expectations.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with associates and doctors.
  • Success in store merchandising and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities with adaptability and flexibility.
  • Willingness to take calculated risks and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate effectively to maximize patient interaction.
  • Preferred computer experience.
