About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. As an Optician, you will work closely with optometrists and customers to ensure that each patient receives the best possible care and products tailored to their vision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that suits their style, prescription, and lifestyle needs.
• Accurately fit and adjust eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure comfort and proper vision correction.
• Interpret and verify optical prescriptions from optometrists.
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
• Maintain inventory of eyewear products, including ordering and restocking as necessary.
• Process insurance claims and manage patient records efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion, lens technology, and optical equipment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Optician or in a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with optical equipment and tools is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
