About the position

The Optical Associate at Sam's Club is responsible for providing exceptional member service in the Optical area, assisting members with their purchasing decisions, and maintaining the presentation and organization of merchandise. This role involves operating cash registers, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies while promoting the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, and assisting with purchasing decisions.
• Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, cleaning, and organizing product displays, and removing damaged goods.
• Maintain the Sales Floor in the Optical area by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, and identifying shrink and damages.
• Receive and stock merchandise in the Optical area, organizing and maintaining it according to company procedures.
• Operate hardware such as cash registers, process member purchases, and assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Sell Optical products and services by assisting members with purchasing decisions, measuring and adjusting frames and lenses, and completing eyewear orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail or customer service.
