Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with software developers and optical engineers to contribute to requirements discussions and define acceptance criteria.
  • Developing and executing test plans and validation strategies for optical design and simulation software.
  • Ensuring that imaging and illumination system models meet performance expectations through structured testing.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to define and refine testing methodologies tailored to optical engineering applications.
  • Analyzing and documenting test results, providing feedback to the development team for continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of testing frameworks and methodologies specific to optical system modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Optics, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proven industry experience in optical engineering, with a focus on optical design, imaging, and illumination systems.
  • Strong understanding of optical principles, including lens design and ray tracing.
  • Familiarity with optical design software (e.g., CODE V, LightTools, RSoft, or equivalent).
  • Experience with scripting languages relevant to optical software testing, with a willingness to learn Python for test automation.
