About the position

The Optometry Clinic Technician position at OKC Vision involves providing essential support in a busy multi-doctor optometry practice. The role focuses on patient interaction, data management, and the use of specialized equipment to assist in patient care. The technician will work closely with patients of all ages, ensuring a friendly and supportive environment while performing various clinical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Initial workup of patients
• Taking case history
• Input of data into an electronic chart
• Using various equipment for testing purposes including an auto-refractor, OCT, and Clarus fundus photography
• Providing friendly and sympathetic support to patient needs
• Working with patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly

Requirements

• Experience in the medical field or working with patients
• Experience in an Optometry/Ophthalmology setting preferred
• Experience using OfficeMate practice management software is a plus
• Ability to take vital signs
• Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Medical Assistant
