About the position

Optum is a global organization that delivers care, aided by technology to help millions of people live healthier lives. Here, you will find a culture guided by diversity and inclusion, talented peers, comprehensive benefits, and career development opportunities. Come make an impact on the communities we serve as you help us advance health equity on a global scale. Join us to start Caring. Connecting. Growing together. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. In this role, you will own the forecast strategy and methodology for all Optum Infusion pharmacies and consumable products. You will be responsible for producing monthly product and site-level demand and purchase forecasts. This includes creating and modifying off-cycle forecasts for site openings and closures, patient transfers, supplier changes, new product launches, product discontinuations, recalls, and more. You will communicate forecasts to suppliers and internal stakeholders as updates occur and calculate and report forecast accuracy metrics, taking appropriate actions to increase forecast accuracy. You will lead collaboration efforts with suppliers to gain access to or develop predictive analytics to identify potential product shortages and share data with internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will create a strategic solution for comparing and contrasting substitute medical surgical products and lead implementation and execution. Your role will also involve recommending analytic solutions to support broad initiatives and growth opportunities, including inventory aging and valuation, supply and demand alignment, and the fiscal impact of new or updated pricing contracts. Developing data visualizations from complex analyses for use both within the team and for senior leader audiences will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will establish automated analytics and/or implement new technology to streamline forecasting, planning, purchasing, and supplier collaboration functions. As the lead in developing best practices, you will align system requirements to operational strategies and identify opportunities to drive increased value through supply chain analytics.
