About the position

The OR Registered Nurse at AdventHealth is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the operating room. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and re-evaluating the needs and treatment of patients undergoing surgical procedures. The nurse will collaborate with various departments to ensure safe and effective patient care while adhering to compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs and developing a surgical plan of care.
• Maintaining communication with various departments including Registration, Laboratory, and Anesthesia for safe patient care.
• Preparing patients for surgical procedures and assisting the physician as a circulating nurse.
• Cleaning procedure rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and available.
• Updating preference cards and reporting equipment issues promptly.

Requirements

• Must be proficient in the English language.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current active licensure of Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• At least 1 year of Operating Room Circulating experience in an acute care setting.
