About the position

The Oracle Analytics Developer position at the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) is a full-time role that plays a crucial part in the development, integration, and implementation of Oracle Analytics solutions. This position is designed for a lead team contributor who will work within a dynamic environment, applying extensive knowledge of Oracle BI & Analytics system development. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating these solutions with comprehensive ERP systems such as PeopleSoft and Maximo, ensuring that the analytics capabilities align with LCRA's strategic goals. In this role, you will engage in technical development, integration, building, and testing within Oracle Analytics environments. You will leverage Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to design and implement efficient data integration and ETL/ELT processes, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data across various systems. Your expertise in RPD (Repository) development will be essential for creating and managing the metadata layer in Oracle BI, which facilitates effective data modeling and analytics reporting. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with developers, DBAs, business partners, and application administrators to design and implement effective solutions. You will guide the BI application lifecycle, encompassing design, configuration, deployment, and administration, all while contributing to LCRA's mission of enhancing the quality of life in Texas and upholding environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Play a critical role in technical development, integration, building, and testing within Oracle Analytics environments.
  • Leverage Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to design and implement efficient data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Utilize RPD (Repository) development skills to create and manage the metadata layer in Oracle BI.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with developers, DBAs, business partners, and application administrators to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Guide the BI application lifecycle, encompassing design, configuration, deployment, and administration.

Requirements

  • Nine or more years of experience in developing and programming/coding software applications or relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in computer science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
  • 5-7 years of Oracle analytics experience, particularly with OBIEE, OAS, OAC, OBIA, and ODI.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing ETL/ELT processes with ODI.
  • Experience in data modeling and repository (RPD) design within Oracle BI.
  • Proficiency in working with large, complex ERP systems, notably PeopleSoft and Maximo.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of BI application design, configuration, deployment, and administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
