About the position
The Oracle APEX Developer position at T and T Consulting Services Inc. is a full-time role based in Falls Church, VA, with remote work options available. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX) version 19 or higher. This role requires a strong background in Oracle APEX development, as well as proficiency in Oracle databases, PL/SQL, and various web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, and CSS. The developer will also work with REST-based web services and must have a solid understanding of Oracle application configuration and database object modeling. In this position, the developer will support the application of best practices, program standards, and conventions throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). The role involves analyzing and refactoring existing code to improve performance, functionality, and maintainability. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong time-management abilities, and a positive attitude. A background check will be required for the successful candidate. Candidates should have 2-4 years of hands-on experience in developing APEX applications and hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. Familiarity with version control systems such as SVN or Git is also necessary. Additional preferred qualifications include Oracle and/or APEX certifications, experience with Agile development methodologies, and prior experience in a government setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using Oracle APEX version 19 or higher.

- Support all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including O&M support and disposition.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience developing APEX applications.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in Oracle APEX development version 19+.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Oracle databases and PL/SQL.
- Experience with frontend web development tools and technologies.
Nice-to-haves
- Oracle and/or APEX certifications.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps.
- Prior production support and software O&M experience.
- Experience working in a government setting.
