The Oracle Application Developer will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of Oracle Applications using the Oracle Applications Development Framework (ADF). This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with other developers to produce software that not only meets business requirements but also adheres to established design patterns. The developer will be responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, which includes developing, coding, modifying, testing, and debugging application programs of varying complexities. A significant part of the role involves troubleshooting production problems within the assigned application software, ensuring that any issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle ADF, with proven experience in Java/J2EE and Windows environments. They should possess a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, including quality gates such as inspections, unit testing, and early integration testing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the developer will be required to interact with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress. The ability to learn and support new systems and applications is also a key requirement for this role, as the technology landscape is constantly evolving. In addition to the required skills, familiarity with FDA Multi-Zone Architecture, SOA, WebLogic, JAX-WS, REST-WS, .Net, and the Oracle WebCenter Portal framework will be advantageous. Experience with version control systems like Subversion and Agile practices will also be beneficial, as the team follows Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
