About the position

teKnoluxion is seeking an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to join our dedicated team supporting the National Security Group. This position is located in Annapolis Junction and requires a TS-SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying issues and risks, working closely with clients and team members to provide trusted advice. The role involves maintaining a high level of operational support while planning and integrating new enhancements and technologies. As an APEX Developer, you will be responsible for performing requirements analysis, specification development, design, development, testing, and deployment of assigned applications. You will also reverse engineer current applications and serve as a subject matter expert for APEX application development. Your responsibilities will include administering all APEX objects, code, and forms, as well as developing and maintaining applications using Oracle APEX and PL/SQL. You will identify production and non-production application features, limitations, and issues, and seek opportunities to optimize Oracle APEX developed projects. In addition, you will provide technical support and consultation for Oracle APEX applications and infrastructure, establish and refine development and test environment tools, and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies. You will also develop and execute unit test plans to ensure compliance with specifications and support formal testing while resolving any test defects.

Responsibilities

• Be a strong team player and proactively identify issues and risks.
• Maintain an excellent level of current operational support while planning and integrating new enhancements and technologies.
• Perform requirements analysis, specification development, design, develop, test, and deploy assigned applications.
• Reverse engineer current applications as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for APEX application development.
• Administer all APEX objects, code, and forms.
• Develop and maintain assigned applications using Oracle APEX.
• Develop procedures and packages using PL/SQL.
• Identify production and non-production application features, limitations, and issues.
• Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of Oracle APEX developed projects.
• Provide technical support and consultation for Oracle APEX application and infrastructure.
• Establish, refine, and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Develop and execute unit test plans to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support formal testing and resolve test defects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Six (6) years of business or related IT experience is required.
• 6+ years working with Database Development is required.
• Must have experience with Oracle Database Design.
• Advanced experience of Oracle APEX and PL/SQL is required.
• Experience with SQL and SQL Tuning is required.
• Experience with Javascript is helpful.
• Basic knowledge of Restful services is required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow-through, stay motivated, and collaborate with all team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in technical operations at DOD agencies, particularly NGA and DIA.
