About the position

Solution IT Inc. is seeking an experienced Oracle Apps DBA to assist in implementing advanced security features and tuning the Oracle RAC configuration for one of its clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle E-Business administration, Oracle RAC, and OID/OAM (Oracle SSO) administration. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with specific expertise in Oracle E-business 12i administration, UNIX, PL/SQL coding, and Oracle database administration. The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for running Oracle E-business 12i, which includes critical activities such as patching, cloning, replication, system administration, and troubleshooting in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments. The candidate should also have experience in implementing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard to ensure high availability, data protection, and disaster recovery capabilities. In addition, the role involves administering Oracle EBS Financials, Supply Chain, and HR/Payroll applications, as well as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). The successful candidate will also be expected to administer systems in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments, utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager and other tools for availability and performance monitoring. This position is based in Chicago, IL, and offers a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing Oracle advanced security features.
  • Tune the Oracle RAC configuration.
  • Administer Oracle E-Business Suite 12i, including patching, cloning, and replication.
  • Troubleshoot issues in high availability and disaster recovery environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years IT experience.
