About the position
The Oracle Architect will design and develop database solutions aimed at automating regulatory report generation for the Broker-Dealer business. This role involves enhancing existing applications, contributing to the application lifecycle, and ensuring effective communication with business partners to align on project goals.
Responsibilities
- Enhancing existing applications through performance tuning to ensure fast and reliable intraday operations.
- Actively contributing to the application lifecycle, including maintenance, release management, and critical bug fixes.
- Communicating effectively with business partners to align on project goals and escalating issues as needed to maintain project timelines.
- Troubleshooting and resolving problems in production and lower environments.
- Collaborating with the Scrum Master, Project Manager, and other Agile team members to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensuring backward compatibility and user training during application upgrades and data migration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in database architecture and development, specifically with Oracle 12c/19c.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL performance tuning and debugging.
- Proficiency in data warehousing tools, such as Informatica, and knowledge of job schedulers like Autosys.
