The Oracle Cloud Data Architect position at T and T Consulting Services Inc. is a full-time role focused on designing and developing a comprehensive framework for building Data Warehouses and facilitating the movement of data into these warehouses for public distribution. The primary objective of this role is to create a systematic approach or factory for constructing Data Warehouses that are compatible with various user needs and cloud-based strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising a robust data strategy tailored for the Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC). This involves not only the technical aspects of data architecture but also ensuring that the solutions align with the operational goals of the organization. In this role, the Data Architect will develop a Data Warehouse building framework that leverages cloud-based strategies to integrate stock assessment data. This includes migrating data from diverse sources, such as PL/SQL and Access, into a centralized Data Warehouse. The architect will also be tasked with creating data ingestion pipelines and implementing an effective ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) strategy to manage distributed data sources efficiently. Furthermore, the role requires the development of customized front-end data viewing utilities that allow various users to access the same data in different formats, thereby enhancing data findability, accessibility, and usability. Another critical responsibility is to implement data cleaning processes aimed at eliminating duplication and optimizing costs under cloud billing models, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the data. The architect will also be responsible for architecting a relational Data Warehouse that integrates disjointed datasets into a cohesive and interconnected data record. Adhering to the FAIR principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability) is essential to modernize the data management landscape at SEFSC, promoting data sharing and collaboration among stakeholders. The role also emphasizes fostering a culture of data governance that encourages collaboration and innovation, ultimately enhancing the Center's capacity to provide accurate and comprehensive data management and scientific advice for effective marine resource management.
