As an Oracle Cloud Database Administrator (Exadata/ExaCS) Production DBA, you will be part of the Cloud Hosting Operations team, responsible for managing all aspects of database administration for production and development environments that support over 20,000 NetSuite Cloud customers. This role involves creating, configuring, and maintaining Oracle database servers on various platforms, ensuring database integrity, availability, and performance while collaborating with operations engineers and application developers.

Manage production databases and other technologies essential to NetSuite's cloud service.
Create, configure, and maintain Oracle database servers on bare metal, ExaCS, and autonomous databases in Oracle Cloud (OCI).
Provide support for large scale, high-performance Oracle database instances across production and development environments.
Focus on automation to improve availability and scalability in production environments.
Help architect existing and new services in production environments.
Manage database replication (Oracle Data Guard) and maintain high availability.
Author tools that reliably manage database infrastructure.
Leverage frameworks/tools to rollout infrastructure changes and perform routine maintenance.
Support current security and compliance activities for Database Infrastructure.
Design and execute overall database architecture strategy, standards, and practices as part of a team.
Proactively identify areas for optimization and troubleshoot database performance issues.
Work closely with the Application Development team to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.
Improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and processes.
Deploy, administer, and maintain Cloud database solutions (DbaaS) in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Implement and maintain database backup and recovery, disaster recovery procedures.
Serve in an on-call rotation as an escalation contact for critical production issues.

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
5-10 years of professional experience with Oracle best practices.
Oracle administration skills in a Linux/UNIX environment.
Experience with Oracle Database Cloud (18c, 19c, 21c), Exadata / ExaCS, and Autonomous databases.
Strong understanding of database infrastructure including backup/recovery using RMAN, Data Guard, high availability, Oracle RAC, SAN, and Network.
Extensive knowledge of SQL and DB performance tuning, scalability, and capacity planning.
Solid experience with SQL/PLSQL, UNIX shell scripting, Python or similar languages.
Experience deploying and maintaining large scale database systems.
Good understanding of Cloud database solutions - DbaaS and ExaCS in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud solutions/hosting providers like Azure or AWS.
Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
Ability to produce quality work on tight schedules.
Problem-solving skills and good judgment.

Experience with AWS or Azure cloud solutions.
Familiarity with automation tools for database management.

Competitive salary range of $113K - $142K per year.
