About the position

The Oracle Cloud Engineer will support a significant federal contract aimed at modernizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) capabilities for the Department of Defense, impacting nearly 10 million service members and their families. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert in Systems Engineering, providing analytical support, and assisting with documentation processes. The position offers an opportunity to learn new technologies while working fully remotely.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical architecture guidance across the engineering lifecycle (analyze, design, build, test, deploy, support)
• Participate in the introduction of new capabilities and the enhancement or troubleshooting of existing capabilities
• Assist in the development of detailed designs, executive briefings, data flow diagrams, and other documentation
• Meld commercial products with custom developed solutions to meet functional requirements
• Work independently within a matrixed organization
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide inspiration and constructive feedback
• Lead project life cycle design including interviewing customers and creating visual designs/prototypes
• Manage several multi-function engineering teams in conducting User Experience research and optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience; Master's Degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering/Analysis
• Advanced computing certification preferred, knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
• Strong documentation experience in a healthcare or federal space
• Familiarity with MBSE approach and tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Agile software development knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose system problems and develop innovative solutions
• Ability to work well with people from various disciplines

• Ability to work under aggressive deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Strong skills in IT fundamentals including server administration, networking, and IT security design
