About the position

The Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Lead will serve as a strategic interface for the implementation, configuration, solution design, and support of the Oracle Fusion Cloud system. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful migration from Oracle e-Business Suite to Oracle Fusion Cloud, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency, security, and automation of business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Define requirements for the finance module and configure it accordingly.
  • Collaborate with IT groups and business users to ensure clarity on business and functional specifications.
  • Understand Oracle Cloud Financials functionality to guide teams in application design and development.
  • Serve as a functional analyst/expert for new implementations.
  • Perform gap analysis and solution design to translate client requirements into optimal solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and create functional specifications for reports, extensions, and integrations.
  • Drive data conversion strategies and oversee customization development.
  • Configure application modules and demonstrate functionality to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate user testing and deployment, assessing production readiness.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to IT plans, projects, and achievements.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of IT experience with at least 2+ years of Oracle Fusion Cloud experience.
  • Five or more years of Oracle Fusion ERP support, implementation, and upgrade experience.
  • Completion of one full Oracle Cloud Financials implementation as a Functional Lead, preferably in the Public Sector.
  • Experience supporting accounting functions in Oracle ERP.
  • Experience with medium-to-large-scale Oracle Fusion Cloud Solution implementations.
  • Proficiency in all project phases, data conversion strategies, and supporting Oracle Fusion Financials modules: GL, Payables, Receivables, Purchasing, Procurement, Expenses, Asset, EPM, and Cash Management.
  • Experience writing SQL scripts to extract data and for ad hoc reports.
