About the position

The Oracle Cloud Financials Principal Consultant will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing relationships with mid to large-size clients within the Managed Services practice. This position focuses on ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and continued business by providing advanced technical support, resolving issues, and implementing new functionalities in Oracle Cloud Financials. The consultant will set strategic goals, lead client initiatives, and offer expert guidance to optimize financial solutions, while also assisting clients with system maintenance and enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular communication with mid to large-size clients, addressing concerns and feedback promptly while resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications and industry best practices to provide cost-effective solutions to client business scenarios.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams and client employees to develop, test, and implement Oracle Cloud solutions.
  • Refine customer requirements, document them in detail, and present them for client approval.
  • Identify and implement creative and innovative solutions to resolve product and integration challenges.
  • Analyze current systems and identify areas for enhancement or modification.
  • Develop unit test scripts and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients for system enhancements or custom solutions.
  • Collaborate with Oracle to resolve service requests effectively.
  • Lead and manage phases of the system lifecycle, including business requirements gathering, business process workshops and analysis, designing, configuring, and developing solutions for Oracle Financial applications, conducting Conference Room Pilots (CRP) and UAT, and go-live preparation.
  • Manage client accounts, including contract renewals, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Focus on maintenance, reconfiguration, and introducing new functionalities or modules.
  • Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and project management teams to align client needs.
  • Prepare and present reports to management and clients outlining key performance metrics and account statuses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
  • 5-10 years of client services or a related field experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an Oracle Functional Consultant with 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting Oracle Cloud projects and upgrades.
  • Expertise in one or more Oracle Cloud Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounting Hub, Advanced Collections and Credits, Cash Management, and Expenses.
  • CPA certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Strong consulting experience, including gathering business requirements, fit-gap analysis, business process design, functional configuration, and managing procurement ERP testing.
  • Proven experience guiding clients through business process improvements.
  • Advanced accounting experience, such as Chart of Accounts redesign, financial reporting, and MultiOrg/Multi-Currency implementations.
  • Experience leading and managing mid-size client projects independently.
  • Proficiency in delivering complex client solutions.
  • Extensive IT knowledge and expertise across technical domains.
  • Proven track record of project management and client satisfaction.

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in additional Oracle Cloud Financial modules.
  • Experience with financial report writing.
