About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, you will solve challenging technical problems and contribute to the development, delivery, and operation of cloud services tailored for the animation, film, and game development industries. This role focuses on designing and implementing cloud services that enable studios to migrate their production pipelines to the cloud, including services like virtual animation workstations, digital asset management, and render farm as a service. You will collaborate with a talented team to create scalable and highly available cloud services, leveraging your experience in enterprise-level software development and cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Design cloud services for availability, scalability, observability, and testability.
  • Implement, validate, and document services and their component microservices.
  • Collaborate within the engineering team to deliver and operate cloud services for animation, film, and game development studios.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and driving innovation.
  • Launch new cloud services and establish operational excellence.
  • Work collaboratively to achieve the technical vision of the team.
  • Engage with geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with software development standards, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Large/enterprise scale software development and engineering experience, particularly with cloud services and distributed systems.
  • Domain knowledge and experience with workflows and pipelines for media production, including digital asset management and familiarity with 3D frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with geo-distributed teams.
  • Training and experience in software implementation, code and design review, and failure root cause analysis.
  • BS/CS in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of software development experience with modern programming languages.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in media production pipeline infrastructure services used in film, animation, and game development studios.
  • Familiarity with 3D data packaging, rendering workflows, and tools used by artists, engineers, editors, and content creators.
