About the position

We are seeking an Oracle Data Engineer to join our team based in Anaheim, California. This role involves managing and enhancing data platforms and applications in the retail food industry. You will be responsible for data migrations, automating data enrichment tasks, and developing system integrations across various departments. The Oracle Data Engineer will oversee and manage data platforms and applications associated with the job function, ensuring that they are efficient and effective in meeting the needs of the organization. In this position, you will perform data migrations and automate data enrichment tasks to enhance efficiency. You will also develop system integrations across marketing, finance, sales, and relationship management systems, utilizing your expertise in relational databases, data mining and transformation, integration patterns, systems administration, reporting, risk management, and application security. Collaboration with team members is key, as you will create effective, scalable solutions and coach them to develop their skills. You will be expected to make strategic decisions and implement best practices to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Staying up-to-date with novel integration capabilities and patterns is essential, as is creating high-quality data products that are well-documented and user-friendly. Additionally, you will build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources using SQL and Oracle technologies. Designing analytics tools to utilize the data pipeline to produce actionable insights and analyzing business needs to create scalable solutions will also be part of your responsibilities. Identifying methods to streamline processes and automate repetitive tasks, leading projects, and collaborating with partners from different functional departments will be crucial. You will also maintain security data across multiple data centers and regions, ensuring that data integrity and security are upheld throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the retail food store industry
  • Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle SQL
  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle Fusion and Oracle Fusion Financials
  • Expertise in data mining and analytics
  • Familiarity with Oracle Data Integration and Oracle Data Integrator
  • Experience with Oracle R12 E-Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle EBS Financials
  • Strong understanding of Oracle BI and Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Excellent skills in SQL, SQL Database, SQL PL/SQL, SQL Programming, SQL Queries, and SQL Reporting
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL Development and PL/SQL Programming
  • Experience with SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services and SSRS - SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Familiarity with T-SQL - Transact-SQL and SQL - Structured Query Language
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and Oracle Application Development
  • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies, particularly AWS Technologies
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the location of the job.
