About the position

The Oracle Database Administrator role at Resourcesoft, Inc. involves managing and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure high performance and reliability. The position requires extensive experience in database design, performance tuning, and the use of Oracle Enterprise Manager tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and integrating vendor-supplied database software, monitoring database performance, and directing programming changes to enhance database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation, modification and integration functions associated with vendor supplied database software.
• Selects and enters codes of utility program to monitor database performance.
• Conduct system or database performance monitoring and tuning.
• Analyze technical problems with applications and their associated databases and implement effective solutions.
• Ensures maintaining database and enhances improvements from time to time.
• Directs programmers and analysts to make changes to data base management system.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Experience with Oracle database design and analysis.
• Experience with performance tuning and Jira is required.
• Experience of creating technical and functional design documentation.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager tools is required.
• Experience with multi-tier system/application development is required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Jira and Oracle certifications will be highly preferred.
