BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join a strong team supporting our government customer. This position will provide the ability to make a significant impact on the mission. The Oracle DBA technical consultant shall be required to be dedicated and available to support the tasks on a full-time basis. The contractor shall be required to perform Operations and Maintenance, Database Administration tasks, and other technical responsibilities. This includes monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Oracle databases. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support will be available during normal duty hours of 0700 to 1700 Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time (EST), excluding Federal holidays. Contractor support includes operations and maintenance of the various Oracle databases, timely alerts to the designated Government representative when additional hardware or software is required to maintain the availability or performance of database functionality, and support activities throughout the implementations of FBI Program projects. You will be responsible for Oracle database installation, configuration, and technical support, as well as planning, coordinating, designing, developing, testing, and implementing Oracle database backup and disaster recovery routines. You will create and maintain Oracle physical database structures based on logical design specifications provided by the application developers and provide technical and functional analysis in the Oracle database environments. Conducting a thorough analysis of operational, technical, and systemic requirements for any required modification to maintain the Oracle databases will also be part of your role. In collaboration with the application developers, you will plan, coordinate, design, develop, test, and execute data migrations to/from Oracle databases, perform modifications to Oracle environments to support changes to the applications, reporting requirements, and user requests, and develop Oracle databases to support new or current applications, ensuring physical or virtual database configuration and storage needs are met. You will also be involved in database administration, ensuring compliance with established FBI Oracle database standards, monitoring existing Oracle databases' storage needs, and assisting with Oracle database upgrades and patches. Familiarity with Oracle's Application Express (APEX) and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) is required, as well as the ability to integrate Oracle APEX with BI Publisher and develop using SQL queries, Materialized views, database links, PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers. Additionally, you will need experience utilizing Amazon's AWS Cloud environment, including the ability to create, maintain, and work efficiently with RDS, EC2, and S3 services. Knowledge of SSL Encryption protocols and the ability to support both Encryption at Rest and Encryption at Transit is essential. You will also support Certification & Accreditation (C&A) activities based on defined Security Division (SecD) policies and instructions, providing support during multiple phases of the C&A process including definition, verification, validation, and post-accreditation.
